The term “karawitan” is used to refer to the Javanese gamelan art. Javanese gamelan is a musical ensemble that usually highlight metallophone, gambang, gendang, and gongs. The music is created on Javanese gamelan comes from the alloy sound gong, kenong and other Javanese musical instruments. Rhythm of the music is generally soft and reflects the harmony of life. Javanese gamelan instruments consist of Saron, Gong, Gambang, fiddle , zither, flute and many more. All the instruments on the Javanese gamelan is percussion instruments except fiddle, flute, and zither.
